01About These Terms

These Terms and Conditions apply to the purchase, possession and use of tickets for BlockDown Festival taking place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, on 26–27 January 2027, together with any associated official activities, digital services and attendee platforms operated by or on behalf of the Organiser.

The Event is organised by E.A.K Global Group FZE (“EAK”, “we”, “us” or “our”).

The purchaser must be given access to these Terms before payment. By purchasing, registering for, accepting or using a ticket, or by entering the Event, you agree to these Terms. If you purchase tickets for other individuals, you must provide them with these Terms. Each attendee must comply with them.

These Terms should be read together with the following information as made available at the time of purchase:

• the BlockDown Festival Privacy Notice;
• the Event information displayed on the official BlockDown Festival website at the time of purchase;
• any ticket-specific conditions displayed during purchase;
• venue rules;
• Event app terms, where applicable; and
• any health, safety or security instructions communicated before or during the Event.

If there is a conflict, ticket-specific conditions displayed and accepted during purchase apply to that ticket, followed by these Terms. Venue, health, safety and security rules govern operational conduct. Mandatory applicable law always prevails, and none of those documents reduces statutory consumer rights.

02Event Details

The Event is scheduled to take place on 26–27 January 2027 at the venue specified on the official BlockDown Festival website and ticket confirmation.

Opening hours, registration times, programme details and access arrangements will be communicated through the Event website, email, ticketing platform or Event app.

Attendees are responsible for checking the latest Event information before travelling.

03Eligibility and Age Restrictions

Unless otherwise stated, attendees must be at least 18 years old on the first day of the Event.

A valid government-issued photographic identification document may be required when collecting credentials or entering the Event. The name on the identification document must correspond with the registration information associated with the ticket.

Alcohol may only be served to attendees aged 21 or over. Proof of age may be required. EAK, the venue and authorised hospitality providers may refuse alcohol service at their discretion and in accordance with UAE law and venue licensing requirements.

04Ticket Purchases

Tickets may only be purchased through the official BlockDown Festival website, an authorised ticketing platform or an authorised sales representative (each an “Authorised Ticket Seller”). The identity of the seller or merchant of record must be displayed during purchase and on the confirmation or receipt.

A ticket purchase is not complete until:

• payment has been successfully processed;
• the purchaser has received a confirmation email or electronic ticket; and
• the booking has not been rejected, cancelled or identified as fraudulent.

EAK may reject or cancel a transaction where:

• payment has not been authorised;
• incorrect or incomplete banking information has been provided;
• a pricing or technical error has occurred;
• the ticket limit has been exceeded;
• fraud, misuse or unauthorised resale is suspected; or
• the transaction would breach applicable law, sanctions or payment-provider requirements.

If EAK or an Authorised Ticket Seller cancels a transaction for reasons unrelated to misconduct by the purchaser, the seller that collected the payment will refund the amount paid for the affected ticket.

In all other circumstances, completed ticket purchases are final and non-refundable, except where a refund is expressly provided under these Terms, including where EAK cancels the Event, or where required by applicable law.

05Ticket Prices and Payment

Ticket prices must be displayed during the purchase process inclusive of VAT and mandatory charges, unless applicable law permits otherwise. Any processing or platform charge must be disclosed before payment.

Any optional charges, upgrades or add-ons will be disclosed before payment.

The purchaser is responsible for:

• checking the ticket category and Event date before completing the purchase;
• providing accurate billing and registration information;
• ensuring sufficient funds are available; and
• paying any bank, currency conversion or international transaction fees imposed by the purchaser’s payment provider.

The Authorised Ticket Seller will provide a valid invoice or payment receipt electronically.

EAK is not responsible for exchange-rate differences or charges imposed independently by banks, card issuers or payment providers.

06Tickets, Badges and Wristbands

Tickets, badges and wristbands remain subject to validation and do not become transferable property that may be commercially resold.

Each ticket is valid for one registered attendee only. Tickets, badges and wristbands must not be:

• copied, duplicated or altered;
• shared between attendees;
• resold through an unauthorised platform;
• used for competitions, promotions or hospitality packages without written permission;
• used for advertising or commercial purposes; or
• obtained through fraud or unauthorised automated purchasing systems.

Attendees may be required to wear or display their badge or wristband at all times while inside the Event.

Lost, stolen or damaged credentials must be reported immediately. Replacement may be subject to identity verification and a reasonable replacement fee. EAK may refuse replacement where fraud or credential sharing is suspected.

07Ticket Transfers, Name Changes and Resale

All tickets are issued to the registered attendee and are strictly personal and non-transferable.

Once a ticket purchase has been completed:

• the ticket may not be transferred, assigned or given to another person;
• the registered attendee’s name may only be corrected where it was misspelled during registration. To request a correction, the purchaser must contact EAK’s ticket customer support team at contact@blockdownfestival.com. Name corrections may not be used to transfer or reassign a ticket to another person.
• the ticket may not be resold through any platform or by any other means; and
• the ticket may not be used for competitions or commercial purposes without EAK’s prior written approval.

EAK may require valid government-issued photographic identification to confirm that the attendee’s identity matches the name registered on the ticket.

Any ticket that has been transferred, assigned, resold or otherwise used in breach of this section may be cancelled without refund, and the person presenting the ticket may be refused admission to the Event.

Complimentary, media, speaker, staff and promotional tickets are personal, non-transferable and have no cash value unless EAK confirms otherwise in writing.

08Attendee Cancellations and Refunds

Tickets are non-refundable where an attendee:

• changes their mind;
• is unable to attend because of personal circumstances;
• misses the Event or arrives early/late;
• is refused entry for failing to comply with these Terms;
• fails to arrange appropriate travel documents or visas;
• books travel or accommodation that cannot be used; or
• is removed from the Event due to misconduct.

This section does not limit any refund, cancellation or other remedy required under applicable UAE law.

09Event Cancellation, Postponement or Material Changes

EAK may make reasonable changes to the Event, including changes to:

• speakers, moderators or performers;
• sessions, stages and schedules;
• opening and closing times;
• venue layout;
• activities, features or networking formats;
• suppliers or technology providers; and
• any other element of the Event programme or experience.

Minor or reasonable changes to speakers, sessions, schedules, programme content, activities, opening hours, venue layout, suppliers or other Event elements do not by themselves entitle an attendee to a refund. This does not apply where a change materially alters the core service purchased or where applicable law requires a remedy.

If the Event is postponed or rescheduled, tickets will remain valid for the new date. A ticket holder who does not wish to attend the rescheduled Event may choose either to keep the ticket for the new date or request a refund of the ticket price and mandatory ticket charges. The request must be submitted within the period stated in the postponement notice, which will not be less than 14 calendar days.

If EAK cancels the Event in full and does not reschedule it, ticket holders will be entitled to a refund of the ticket price and mandatory ticket charges paid to EAK or the relevant Authorised Ticket Seller, subject to applicable law.

Except where mandatory law provides otherwise, EAK will not reimburse travel, accommodation, visa costs, loss of earnings or other consequential costs resulting from cancellation, postponement, rescheduling, relocation or modification of the Event. Attendees are encouraged to obtain appropriate travel insurance.

A refund due under this section will be processed by the Authorised Ticket Seller that collected the payment, using the original payment method wherever reasonably possible and within the period required by applicable law.

10Admission and Security

Admission is subject to these Terms, venue rules, ticket validation and security procedures.

EAK, venue management and authorised security personnel may:

• request photographic identification;
• inspect bags and personal belongings;
• conduct reasonable security screening;
• refuse prohibited items;
• deny admission where a ticket is invalid or cannot be verified; and
• refuse or revoke admission where reasonably necessary for safety, security, legal or operational reasons.

Refusal of a voluntary bag inspection may result in refusal of entry.

Attendees must follow all reasonable instructions given by EAK, venue staff, security personnel, emergency services and relevant authorities.

Re-entry may be permitted only where the attendee retains a valid credential and complies with the applicable entry procedure.

11Standards of Conduct

All attendees must behave professionally and respectfully and comply with UAE law, Dubai regulations, venue policies and local cultural standards.

The following conduct is prohibited:

• harassment, intimidation, threats or abusive behaviour;
• violence or conduct creating a safety risk;
• discrimination or targeted offensive conduct;
• possession of weapons, illegal substances or prohibited items;
• intoxication, disorderly behaviour or unauthorised alcohol consumption;
• theft, vandalism or damage to property;
• unauthorised access to restricted areas;
• disruption of sessions or Event operations;
• unauthorised commercial solicitation or distribution of promotional materials;
• fraudulent, misleading or unlawful promotion of investments, tokens or financial products;
• unauthorised demonstrations, political campaigning or fundraising;
• recording or photographing individuals in a way that violates their privacy or applicable UAE law; and
• any activity that is illegal, unsafe or reasonably likely to damage the Event, venue or other attendees.

EAK may refuse admission or remove an attendee whose behaviour breaches these Terms. Depending on the circumstances, the matter may be reported to venue security or the relevant authorities.

No refund will normally be issued where an attendee is removed for misconduct, subject to mandatory law.

12Prohibited Items

Unless expressly authorised by EAK and the venue, attendees must not bring:

• weapons or items that may reasonably be used as weapons;
• illegal drugs or controlled substances;
• outside alcohol;
• hazardous, explosive or flammable materials;
• drones or remotely operated devices;
• professional recording, broadcasting or live-streaming equipment;
• large banners, signs or promotional installations;
• counterfeit credentials;
• laser devices, disruptive sound equipment or signal-interference equipment; or
• any item prohibited by the venue or relevant authorities.

This list is not exhaustive. Security personnel may determine whether an item creates a safety, security or operational risk.

13Event Programme and Speakers

Programme information is provided in good faith but may change.

A ticket provides access only to the areas and activities included in the purchased ticket category. Some sessions, workshops, lounges, meetings or side events may:

• require separate registration;
• have limited capacity;
• operate on a first-come, first-served basis;
• be restricted to particular ticket categories; or
• be subject to additional eligibility requirements.

Access is not guaranteed once the capacity of a particular area or session has been reached.

The views expressed by speakers, attendees and participating organisations are their own. EAK does not necessarily endorse or verify those views.

14Financial and Investment Disclaimer

The Event is provided for professional networking, information and educational purposes.

Nothing presented at the Event constitutes legal, financial, investment, tax or regulatory advice from EAK.

EAK does not:

• recommend or endorse any token, digital asset, investment or financial product;
• guarantee the accuracy of statements made by speakers or participants;
• guarantee returns or commercial outcomes;
• conduct due diligence on behalf of attendees; or
• accept responsibility for transactions entered into between attendees and third parties.

Digital assets and emerging technologies may involve substantial financial, legal, technical and regulatory risks. Attendees are responsible for conducting their own due diligence and obtaining independent professional advice.

15Event App and Attendee Profiles

EAK and its authorised technology contractor may use registration and profile information to provide access, schedules, notifications, networking features and Event support through an Event app or attendee portal.

By registering for the app and creating a profile, you consent to your profile being visible to other registered app users based on the information you provide. This may include your name, job title, company, profile photograph, biography, interests and any other details you choose to add.

EAK does not provide or export the general attendee contact list to sponsors, exhibitors, speakers, media, partners or other attendees. The visibility of individual profiles within the app does not constitute disclosure of the general attendee database.

Your email address, telephone number and other private contact details will not be visible unless you choose to include or share them through an app feature.

Attendees must not:

• scrape, copy, extract or compile attendee profile data;
• use automated tools to collect information from the app;
• send spam or excessive unsolicited messages;
• impersonate another individual;
• share account credentials; or
• use profile information for unlawful or unrelated marketing purposes.

EAK may suspend or remove app access where these rules are breached.

16Photography, Filming and Recording

BlockDown Festival is a public professional event at which photography, filming, audio recording and live broadcasting may take place.

By attending, you acknowledge that you may appear incidentally in crowd photographs, recordings or Event footage. Where required by applicable law, EAK will rely on an appropriate legal basis or obtain consent for identifiable promotional use.

Event material may be used for purposes including:

• Event reporting and documentation;
• news and media coverage;
• promotion of current and future BlockDown Festival events;
• EAK websites, social media and marketing materials; and
• internal records and archives.

If you have a specific concern about being photographed or filmed, contact EAK before the Event or speak to the registration team on arrival. EAK will take reasonable steps to accommodate the request, although complete exclusion from incidental crowd footage cannot be guaranteed.

Attendees may take photographs for personal and professional social-media use, provided that they:

• respect the privacy and wishes of others;
• do not obstruct or disrupt the Event; and
• comply with applicable UAE law.

17Personal Data

EAK processes personal data in accordance with the BlockDown Festival Privacy Notice and applicable UAE data-protection legislation.

The Privacy Notice explains:

• the information EAK collects;
• how and why it is used;
• the parties that may process it on EAK’s behalf;
• international transfers;
• retention and security;
• Event app profile visibility; and
• individual data-protection rights.

18Networking and Communications

Attendees are expected to communicate respectfully and use networking facilities only for legitimate professional purposes.

Participation in the Event does not guarantee:

• meetings with particular attendees or speakers;
• investment, employment or commercial opportunities;
• access to every attendee;
• responses to messages; or
• any particular business outcome.

Attendees must not use contact information obtained through direct networking to send unlawful marketing or communications that breach applicable privacy, electronic communications or anti-spam requirements.

19Travel, Accommodation and Visas

Attendees are responsible for arranging and paying for their own:

• passports and visas;
• travel and transfers;
• accommodation;
• insurance;
• health requirements; and
• other costs associated with attending the Event.

Purchasing a ticket does not guarantee that a visa or entry permission will be granted.

Any invitation or visa-support letter issued by EAK confirms Event registration only. It does not constitute sponsorship, immigration advice or a guarantee of entry into the UAE.

Attendees should not make non-refundable travel arrangements without appropriate insurance.

20Health, Safety and Accessibility

Attendees are responsible for considering whether they are medically fit to attend and for taking reasonable care of their own health and safety.

Any accident, illness, hazard or security concern should be reported immediately to Event or venue staff.

EAK may contact emergency services where reasonably necessary. Attendees remain responsible for medical or emergency costs except where applicable law provides otherwise.

Attendees requiring accessibility assistance or reasonable accommodation should contact contact@blockdownfestival.com sufficiently in advance. EAK will work with the venue to provide reasonable support, subject to the attendee’s requirements and venue capabilities.

21Intellectual Property

The BlockDown Festival name, branding, website, programme, graphics, recordings and Event materials are owned by or licensed to EAK and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

A ticket does not grant permission to:

• use Event branding for commercial purposes;
• imply a partnership, sponsorship or endorsement;
• reproduce or sell Event recordings or materials;
• rebroadcast sessions;
• create an unauthorised commercial event using Event content; or
• use EAK intellectual property in advertising without written permission.

Attendees retain ownership of materials they lawfully provide. Where an attendee submits content for publication, display or participation in an Event activity, the specific submission terms or written agreement will govern its use.

22Third-Party Services and Content

The Event may include services, content, products or facilities provided by independent third parties.

EAK is not responsible for independent statements, offers or commitments made by third parties, except to the extent responsibility cannot lawfully be excluded.

Any agreement entered into directly between an attendee and a third party is between those parties. Attendees should review the third party’s applicable terms and privacy information.

23Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including mandatory consumer rights or liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable.

Subject to the above, EAK will not be responsible for:

• loss resulting from an attendee’s failure to comply with these Terms;
• loss of personal belongings;
• unauthorised third-party conduct outside EAK’s reasonable control;
• business decisions or investments made based on Event content;
• indirect or consequential losses;
• loss of profits, revenue, business opportunities or anticipated savings; or
• travel, accommodation or visa costs, except where mandatory law provides otherwise.

For claims that may lawfully be limited, EAK’s total liability in connection with a ticket will not exceed the amount paid for that ticket to EAK or the relevant Authorised Ticket Seller.

Attendees are responsible for loss or damage they deliberately or negligently cause to the venue, Event property or another person’s property.

24Events Beyond EAK’s Reasonable Control

EAK will not be in breach of these Terms where performance is prevented or materially affected by circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

Such circumstances may include:

• severe weather or natural disasters;
• epidemic, pandemic or public-health restrictions;
• war, terrorism, civil unrest or security threats;
• government orders or changes in law;
• venue closure or loss of essential permits;
• transport disruption;
• utility, telecommunications or technology failures;
• labour disputes;
• national mourning; or
• other emergencies affecting the safety or feasibility of the Event.

Where such circumstances occur, EAK may postpone, relocate, reduce, modify or cancel the Event. The refund provisions in Section 9 will apply, subject to mandatory law.

25Complaints

Questions or complaints concerning tickets or the Event should be submitted to:

Please include:

• the purchaser’s full name;
• booking or ticket reference;
• contact details;
• a description of the issue; and
• any relevant supporting documents.

EAK will acknowledge complaints within five business days and aim to provide a substantive response within 15 business days. Complex matters may take longer, in which case EAK will provide a status update.

Nothing in these Terms limits an attendee’s right to contact the competent UAE consumer-protection authority or pursue another remedy available under applicable law.

26Changes to These Terms

EAK may update these Terms for future purchases to reflect changes in law, Event arrangements, technology or operational requirements.

The version made available and accepted when a ticket is purchased will apply to that purchase. Material changes affecting existing ticket holders will be communicated directly where reasonably practicable and will not remove contractual or mandatory rights.

Changes required by law or reasonably necessary for security or safety may apply immediately, but only to the extent required and without removing mandatory consumer rights.

27General Provisions

If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.

A failure or delay by EAK in enforcing a provision does not waive its right to enforce that provision later.

Attendees may not transfer their contractual rights or obligations except through an authorised ticket-transfer process. EAK may assign its rights and obligations to an affiliated company or successor responsible for delivering the Event, provided this does not materially reduce attendee rights.

These Terms, together with the ticket-specific conditions and other documents expressly identified and made available at the time of purchase, constitute the agreement concerning attendance at the Event.

28Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates and the laws applicable in the Emirate of Dubai.

The courts of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, will have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms, except where mandatory applicable law provides otherwise.
